We offer oxygen consumption rate tests that determine oxygen consumption rates of mining waste materials through both abiotic and microbial mediated sulfide oxidation.    The constant volume respirometers we utilise (WTW Oxi-Tops) rely on the measurement of pressure drop within a sealed vessel of constant volume using a manometer. The drop in pressure can be inferred to the consumption of oxygen through respiration and / or oxygen consumption by some other chemical reaction.
